flag   TOM BRADY

Sport: FOOTBALL
Country: UNITED STATES
Zodiac Sign: LEO
Birth Date: AUGUST 3, 1977

Tom Brady was born in California and developed his interest in football at a young age, dedicating consistent hours to his practice routine and developing the skills that would enable him to become one of the best playoff quarterbacks of this generation. Tom attended the University of Michigan where he developed his talents and brought the team many victories, culminating in the 1999 Orange Bowl.

After his stellar Orange Bowl victory, Tom Brady entered the 2000 NFL draft and was finally selected by the New England Patriots on the sixth round. If the Patriots had known then what an asset they were looking at, they surely would have picked Brady for the first round; he has led the Patriots to three Superbowl victories and has secured for himself a Most Valuable Player award. He has also brought the Patriots fame and victory in 4 Pro Bowls and was Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year.

Tom Brady is known as an outstanding passer, and is the sixth rated passer in history, passing over 20,000 yards. He also is responsible for the longest consecutive winning streak in the NFL at 21 games. Tom Brady has become synonymous with Patriot excellence and is certainly one of the most valued players on the team and in the world of football today.

Tom Brady's career began to take off over a mistaken play back in 2001. When the New England Patriots were playing against the Oakland Raiders, Tom Brady was thought to have fumbled the ball. However, thanks to modern technology, the film was played again in an instant replay and it was discovered Brady had made an incomplete pass. The Patriots went on to win the game against the Oakland Raiders, and the rest is history.

Brady is also respected for his fortitude as well as his performance on the field. It was discovered only after some time that Brady had been playing with a very painful hernia, although he did not inform his team mates of this fact. However, in 2005 he could no longer play in such pain, and had to sit out the Pro Bowl. He was sorely missed by his team mates and was welcomed back enthusiastically when the problem was corrected.

His hernia operation seemed to have improved Brady's running, which until then has been considered mediocre. He made a few long runs in 2006 which were decisive in securing points. Brady's games just keeps getting better with time and he does not show any signs of declining either in his game or his popularity.

When young boys look for a football hero, they see in Tom Brady a tough yet modest player who puts the needs of his team before his own, and weathers all challenges. While many players are constantly holding out for the highest bidder and are looking for increasing offers, Brady knows he has a home with the Patriots and is commended for loyalty to his team. He is expected to remain with the Patriots and to continue to secure victory for years to come.
