Bottega Veneta Runway Looks

Bottega Veneta
One outfit that immediately caught my eye on the runway was a black leather motorcycle jacket with matching leather pants. The jacket is a slim fit and sleek looking piece of outerwear that incorporates Bottega Veneta’s signature style of mixed media materials, which is evident in the color blocking that accents the jacket in blue at the collar, directly down the shoulder line, and continues in one line to the pant pockets. It gives what might be considered a classic “Biker” style, a modern urban twist.

Also, in the spirit in Bottega Veneta’s love of the jumpsuit, a Spring/Summer 2012 runway male model was sporting a head to toe antique treatment denim suit. The jacket had a similar style to the traditional denim jacket that we all know and love, but the color and the details of the slightly higher pocket placement and stitching were able to kick it up a notch. It was seamlessly paired with a dressier, tab-style waistband jean in order to complete the suited look.

There was one look that I wasn’t too much a fan of. The tie dye shirt or jeans may have been a “stand- out” piece of clothing if they have been worn alone, but by putting them together and then trying to separate it with a black patterned sweater did nothing for me at all. I can’t really imagine seeing this whole look anywhere but the runway.

Bottega Veneta is not only known for their clothing design, but also for luxury accessories like men’s leather bags, wallets, mobile tech cases, scarves, knit hats and gloves. Their shoe collection of colorful suede and leather moccasins could be an article all its own! I’ll have to keep that idea for future reference.
