Male fitness models are the epitomy of sexiness. They grace the covers of all of the workout magazines lining the aisles of grocery stores nationwide. Men dream of having abs like them. Defined but large muscles are needed for photography shoots when you are a male fitness model. Many people either have large muscles, but lack definition, or are very lean and defined, but lack muscles generally. Bulk is soft, non-visible muscle under a blanket of lard. Maintaining a lean, toned body for fitness modeling requires diligence. The mental toughness to ignore cravings is a must, and it will test the strongest will of any man. The benefits are endless however. Male fitness models look great, and women crave THEM. Their confidence is at an all time high, and they look for an excuse to take off their shirts to expose their sexy, hairless, tan, ripped bodies.

Male fitness modeling is a year around job. It would be foolish to slack off at ANY point in time. In the super competitive modeling field, a fitness model (a good one) needs to be ready to fly out of town on short notice. To do this, your lean condition needs to be maintained year-round. For a career in fitness modeling, being in consistently lean condition is a necessity. While at times it may be helpful to "bulk up" to pack on some extra muscle mass. Rest assured that no photographer will want to shoot a soft, bloated, and undefined physique. Not only do you need to be "on" for a shoot, you must maintain this condition, as often times fitness modeling opportunities spring up at a moments notice. In an extremely competitive business, a photographer will always go with the guy who is ready to fly out of town on a few days notice, rather than a model who needs 10 weeks to lean up.
