Infact their first modeling deal took them by surprise. Today the boys get paid around $2,500 a day to pose for a camera. Their first ever deal was to a pose before a camera with their pants down, the brothers obliged. One day Lane was approached by a scout at a hotel who inquired if he had any modeling experience. Caught by surprise, Lane was shocked but intrigued and blurted out that he had a twin. The two brothers had never thought about modeling but after being approached, they were curious to find out. So they went to a modeling event for aspiring models. The two walked in bravely with just two snapshots and no portfolio. To their surprise, 18 agents called them back. The brothers had no clue as to what to expect next and finally broke the news to their parents. Within 3 months they were signed on to do a catalog for Abercrombie and Fitch.

Modeling for both the brothers in a way is just a means to an end. Not being just pretty boys, they have different goals. Lane is interested in the acting business while Kyle who doesn’t mind acting has a dream of getting hold of a pilot license and one day taking over their Dad’s business. Today the Brothers have their own company in the form of Double Take Inc. To the brothers modeling is like a business. They will model for as long as they need to do business. So here’s hoping the Carlson brothers always want to be in business!
